The Health Office is open from 7:30 am - 2:30pm
The following information will be useful in explaining some Health Office Policies and procedures at Hanover Park High School and will be helpful to us in meeting your child's health needs.
Physical Education Excuses:
Parents: Notes are required for a student to be excused from physical education. The student must bring the note to the nurse before school starts in the morning.
A doctor's note is required for physical education excuses of more than three consecutive days.
Students returning after serious accident or illness may be asked to bring a doctor's permission note to resume physical education.
Scoliosis:
Scoliosis screening will be provided for all students during the school year as required by state law unless this has been done by the students private physician and has been documented on the health record. A parent may request in writing a religious exemption if it conflicts with the student's religious beliefs and practices.
A parent or responsible adult will be notified for a student to be excused from school during the school day due to illness/injury. A parent or responsible adult must come to health office to pick up the ill student. This regulation applies to all students, including those who are eighteen years old and/or drive to school in their own car. The emergency home contact card is used to reach a parent at home or work in the event that your child is ill or injured.
