1st Quarter : Marching Band
Quarter 2, 3, 4: Wind Ensemble/ Concert Band

Each student enrolled receives a weekly private lesson on his/her instrument

Brass ~ Selected according to instrumentation and interest
Woodwind ~ Selected according to instrumentation and interest
Percussion ~ Selected according to instrumentation and interest

Jazz Ensembles 1 & 2

Jazz Ensembles 1 ~ This nationally recognized ensemble is selected by audition
Jazz Ensembles 2 ~ For all other students interested in Jazz

Area, Region, All-State and All-Eastern Band

Advanced students are encourages to learn the required solo and scales. Auditions are very competitive. successful candidates then perform in a 'honors' venue with their respective peer group from around the area (36 schools). the region (100 schools), the state (300 schools), and the Northeast U.S. (11States)
