Vocal Music

Hanover Park offers two primary vocal ensembles with additional opportunities that vary by year. Students can sign up for Concert Choir (a 5-credit course) and audition for Chamber Singers (an extra-curricular choir). It is a performance-based vocal music program that explores literature from classical to pop and jazz. Basic music theory and sight-reading are addressed. Other performance opportunities are available through participation in these ensembles (Men's Choir, Women's Choir, Atlantic City Crew, etc.)

Instrumental Music

There are numerous opportunities in our instrumental music department including Marching Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band and Pit Orchestra. Instrumental music includes marching band, Concert Band and individual lessons. String players will have an opportunity to develop their skills and perform music of various areas.

String ensemble provides the opportunity to perform, analyze and critique music of various eras of music history, and to develop the students’ skills in both the mechanics of playing a stringed instrument and the interpretation of the printed musical page.

Theater

Hanover Park puts on two extra-curricular productions each year (a Fall Play and a Spring Musical). These productions present opportunities for actors, singers, dancers, artists, builders, stage crew and instrumentalists to share their talents with the community.
