Student Parking

Parking permits will be issued first to seniors based on lottery in accordance with Board Policy and regulations; and then, if space remains, to juniors on a lottery basis. Students wishing to apply for a parking permit should see Mr. Silva or Mrs. Roselle. Students and visitors who violate school parking regulations are subject to fines, suspension or loss of parking privileges, and in extreme cases towing at the owners; expense.

  • All HP Seniors will be able to apply for a parking permit by logging into Parent/ Guardian PowerSchool registration portal. The portal will be open in late August.

STUDENT DRIVING AND PARKING REGULATIONS

Driving to and parking on school grounds is a privilege granted in accordance with the following regulations:

  • Should you permanently change cars during the school year, you must present the new registration and the original permit in order to receive a new permit. Lost or stolen permits will not be replaced.

  • If another family vehicle without a sticker is used on a given day, it CAN NOT be parked on school grounds that day without a temporary parking permit issued from the attendance office.

  • All permits are to be PERMANENTLY AFFIXED (no tape or other temporary forms of attachment) on the BACK SIDE OF THE REAR VIEW MIRROR FACING OUT.

  • All student parking will be within the student section of the main parking and the lined area around the front circle. Students are NOT allowed to park in designated Visitor Parking spaces or the school bus drop off area.

  • STUDENTS WHO PARK WITHOUT A PERMIT OR PARK IN UNAUTHORIZED AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO A MUNICIPAL SUMMONS.

  • SMOKING is strictly forbidden anywhere on campus. This applies to the inside of cars also.

  • Student drivers are to obey all motor vehicle regulations and operate their vehicles in a safe manner within the posted limit.

  • Driving and parking privileges may be revoked for violation of any of the above regulations.

  • The school and Board of Education are not responsible for loss of property or damage to property in connection with vehicles driven by student drivers.

  • Students should not go to their cars during the day without permission From Mr. Silva, Mr. Callanan, Mr. Menditto or Officer Zeppetelli

  • All vehicles must be removed from the Blue Line Parking Lot by 2:20.

  • Students who continue to violate the Blue Line Parking Regulation will receive disciplinary actions.
