To help our students understand the profound social impact of 9/11 on the "common American," our dedicated staff hosted a mini-assembly panel across our classrooms. Our teachers opened up about their own experiences from that day—how news traveled, how communities came together, and how daily life in America changed forever.
Rather than just listening, our students led the conversation—asking thoughtful, deep questions they crafted themselves to explore how history shapes our modern world.

The HP Girls Tennis Team took a trip to the US Open, and safe to say, the energy was unmatched. From watching the pros fire off 120mph serves to soaking up every bit of Arthur Ashe Stadium magic, the squad got a front-row seat to the best tennis in the world.
Huge thanks to our coaches and supporters for making this trip happen! We're coming back to the courts extra inspired, locked in, and ready to bring that Grand Slam hustle into our own season.

Due to the extreme heat, classroom temperatures, and the lack of air conditioning throughout the majority of our buildings, the Hanover Park Regional High School District will operate on a short day bell schedule for tomorrow, Friday, June 12, 2026. Hanover Park High School will dismiss at 12:18 p.m. and Whippany Park High School will dismiss at 12:43 p.m. No lunch will be served.
At this time, all after school activities will be canceled. The Whippany Park Senior trip will operate on a modified schedule. The departure time from Whippany Park High School will remain as scheduled for approximately 8:45 a.m. The arrival time back to campus will now be at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Shawn and Alvaro shared their deeply moving story of survival, resilience, and brotherhood, while delivering an invaluable lesson on the critical importance of fire safety as our seniors prepare to head off to the real world.
It was an emotional, eye-opening, and unforgettable presentation that reminded us all that a split-second decision can change a life forever. Thank you, Shawn and Alvaro, for turning your tragedy into a life-saving mission for the next generation. 🙏✨
