Students in Mr. Ott's International Business Practice Firm classes attended the Youth Business Summit in NYC today. They were selling products from their virtual company and interacting with students from all over the U.S. and the Globe. A great experience for these aspiring entrepreneurs.

Vin LaValle and Gaby Conte were recognized at Wednesday night's BOE meeting for placing in the state tournament in wrestling. Vin placed 2nd and Gaby was crowned state champ! Congratulations Vin and Gaby...keep up the great work!

Congratulations to Sander Merrick who was invited to the House of Representatives and presented with an award for his commitment service in his community. Sander was given a private tour and was able to sit and talk about matters of government with members of Congress! Great job Sander! We are proud of you!

The Golden Hornet Marching Band is representing HP in Hollywood this week! Performing on Main Street USA in Disneyland and seeing the sights of LA! An amazing experience for an amazing group of HP students!!!

Congratulations to the HP Chamber Singers on their exceptional performances at Saturday's 32nd Annual Roxbury Invitational Choir Festival. They competed against some of the top choirs in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in the Pop/Jazz Choir category and for the first time ever, ranked in the top three and qualified for the evening showcase. They walked away with a Gold rating and two outstanding performances, critiqued and coached by some of the nation's top clinicians. Junior Aidan Buneta earned a Judges' Award for his outstanding performance. Additionally, senior Sophia Morris earned a solo spot in the evening showcase and walked away as the Grand Champion in her solo category. Congratulations to these amazing singers. You do NOT want to miss their spring vocal concert on Wednesday, May 22nd.

Girls Wrestler of the Year: Gabriella Conte, Hanover Park, Fr. Conte let everyone in the state know she’s bound for four incredible years on the mat. The freshman 100-pound standout was a wrecking ball on the girls’ end with a record of 13-1 and titles at the BCWCA Girls’ Wrestling Invitational, regions and states. She took third at the Queen of the East, where she suffered her only loss of the season to Wyoming Seminary’s Jaclyn Bouzakis. Her state championship victory came by a 7-2 decision over Ridgewood sophomore Francesca Gusfa, whom she defeated by a 14-0 major decision in the semifinals at the BCWCA Invitational.
