Mrs. Apicella's Intro to Art classes made sculpey clay pens for the East Hanover senior citizens organization and delivered the pens to them this week during the senior's annual Valentine's Day party at the Hanover Manor. A big congratulations to sophomore Thi Tran for placing 1st in the 100 meter butterfly and 1st in the 100 meter breaststroke. Thi broke her own Morris County record in the 100 meter butterfly that she set last year with a time of 1:02:17!

For the second year in a row, The Hornet's Sting was awarded First Place with Merit from the American Scholastic Press Association. Also, for the second year in a row, we were named Most Outstanding High School Literary-Art Magazine for 2023.

The HP girls basketball team participated in the Kirst Memorial Tournament at Ridge High School this weekend. The tournament honored the memory of our friend, coach, and colleague, the late Kyle Kirst. With the Kirst family on hand, the girls beat Ridge High School 42-31. Great job girls and to quote Coach Kirst, "You Rock!"
